Adventurous: With a universe full of seemingly infinite possibilities, she's always ready to take on any new challenges and brave the depths of the unknown. Her biggest motivation in life is knowing there will always be something new and exciting to look forward to in her near future.

Dedicated: When she makes a plan and sets a goal, nothing will stop her from achieving it.
No matter how long it may take, she sees everything through to the bitter end. Almost all of her noteworthy achievements and personal wealth are a testament of her unbelievable tenacity.

Creative: Her creativity and dedication precede her in almost every regard. The amount of effort, detail, and care that she puts into everything she does is utterly staggering. Oftentimes, she inspires those around her to try new things or improve on their own personal endeavors.

Playing the Guitar: Shortly after her arrival in Eorzea, she came across a small band performing in the streets of Limsa Lominsa. She was immediately drawn to the electric guitar and fell in love with it's unique sound. Her closest friends pitched in and had an electric blue one custom made for her.

Character Backstory Summary

Born off the coast of the Adoulin Islands, Azula grew up in a traditional Vieran village with strict customary guidelines. She struggled to fit in and was often ostracized due to her eccentric personality. Eventually, she became severely withdrawn and yearned for a different way of life.

At the age of 13 summers, Azula ran away from home. She became a nomad and taught herself how to fish and live off the land. Wandering aimlessly from one place to another, she would eventually arrive in Eorzea, finding happiness and sanctuary in the city-state of Gridania.

In recent years, Azula became proficient in various tradecrafts and developed an interest in engineering. With the help of the Garlond Ironworks, she built her very own airship named the Aquila. She now operates as a Sky Pirate, discreetly dealing in illicit trade and treasure hunting.

Hello there! Thank you for taking the time to check out my character's website! I've been playing Final Fantasy XIV since 2010 and before that I played Final Fantasy XI for a number of years. Despite playing for such a long time, I only recently started roleplaying in late 2023. I'm a little bit shy and introverted, but I'm working on it. Please be patient with me while I figure stuff out!

Outside of the Final Fantasy series; I really enjoy creative games like Stardew Valley, Terraria, Satisfactory, Subnautica, Minecraft, and Hytale. I'll probably always love the Zelda and Elder Scrolls series as well. Outside of being a nerd; I really enjoy traveling, swimming, and museums.

My only real goal here is having fun, engaging with the community, and having my own platform as a creative outlet during my spare time. I look forward to meeting and interacting with you!

Question #1: What's your favorite combat class and what do you enjoy the most about it?

Right now, I really enjoy playing Warrior! I used to be afraid of tanking, but it's actually a lot of fun. Warrior has a very simple rotation, which allows me to focus more on mechanics. I'm not very good at multitasking, so it helps me out a lot!

Question #2: What's your favorite and least favorite in-game content?

I personally like grind-heavy content like Occult Crescent, Bozja, and Eureka. I also enjoy deep dungeons and fishing.
The only content in the game that I dislike is PVP, but I'll admit that crystaline conflict was a small step in the right direction.

Question #3: What's the hardest in-game content that you've cleared?

I had an amazing savage static towards the end of Shadowbringers. It was a very painful learning experience, but I grew
as a player in ways I can't even begin to explain to you. I'm basically at the doorstep of trying out some Ultimate Raids.

Question #4: What's something you would change about the game if you could?

I want player housing to be entirely reworked. Have all plots start small and overgrown with a tent or small shack. Make a workshop style system to submit materials and gil in order to slowly upgrade the size of the house and yard over time.
Give us different interior layouts to choose from with similar upgrades for the inside. It's not just about the basics either,
give us simple card and board games that we can play together socially. Interactive cooking or fun group activities!

Question #5: What's your stance on third party tools and stuff like parsing?

Personally, I go by fight club rules. I never talk about it publicly and I can neither confirm nor deny any personal allegations!
I don't really care what other people do or use as long as it doesn't affect me directly. I'm not the fun police, you do you! When it comes to parsing, I think it's fine when used as a tool for self-improvement or analysis. Not for harassing others.

"I don't really have any specific motivations per say. I simply live my life one day at a time and try to find joy in the little things.
When life starts to feel mundane, I'll just plan a trip somewhere new and exciting that I haven't been before." - Azula Adoulin

"I think it depends on the distance being travelled or the trip in question, but anytime I have an excuse to ride my trusted chocobo Sapphire, it puts a huge smile on my face. He's such a good boy and I enjoy his companionship!" - Azula Adoulin

"Not to brag or anything, but I have a couple billion gil in the bank and I run a very questionable yet successful trade organization. I think it would be very unwise not to have any security staff, wouldn't you agree?" - Azula Adoulin

"I'm emotionally irresponsible and I can't help myself. I fall in love easily, drown in my emotions, and self-destruct when things become too difficult. What's worse is I internalize most of it, resulting in a slow burn until I explode violently." - Azula Adoulin

"No, I'm not. I can only guess that people have greatly exaggerated my reputation. I don't have any superpowers and I'm not invincible or undefeatable. I've only come as far as I have because of my friends and family." - Azula Adoulin

"I don't know. I've always lived my life by my own terms. I did things my way and I selfishly enjoyed every moment of it.
My life wasn't perfect and I might have made a few mistakes along the way, but I felt alive and in control of my own destiny.
I will say that I've always had the best intentions and tried to look for the good in people. I never went out of my way to hurt anyone who didn't deserve it. If you want my honest opinion, I don't think I'll be remembered for anything and that's okay.

Question #1: What time zone do you live in and when do you usually play?

I currently live near the East Coast of the United States. I'm located in the Eastern Standard Time Zone (UTC-5).
Typically, I'll play on weekdays from 5:00pm to 11:00pm and on weekends somewhere between 9:00am to 1:00am.

Question #2: What is your preferred writing style and will you roleplay on Discord?

I usually mirror my partners or read the room a little first. I do prefer in-game first-person perspective using short paragraphs (between 4-6 sentences) accompanied by in-game emotes and animations. Outside of AO3, I'm not a fan of third-person or novel style roleplaying, but I'm willing to accommodate as long as it's fun or interesting. As for using Discord, I no longer roleplay via direct messages. In the past, people became too hardcore, impatient, parasocial, or tried to form ooc romantic relationships. I will, however, roleplay on public Discord servers that are set up with specific themes and threads.

Question #3: What's something important you would like everyone to know about yourself?

I play videogames and participate in online roleplaying for fun and to escape reality. I work in a really difficult field and when
I log into my personal computer, I enjoy being an anonymous fictional bunny girl on the internet. I would like to avoid any
real world conversations that divide or alienate people. Politics, Religion, and Artificial Intelligence are key examples of this.
To be clear, I don't mind if others choose to discuss these topics openly. I just won't participate or make any comments.

Question #4: Are you an adult who is 18 years old or order? / Is it okay that I'm a Minor?

Yes, I'm an adult over the age of 18 years old. While I'm willing and able to have age appropriate interactions with
underage writers and characters, I generally prefer to interact with adults who are between the ages of 21-45 years old.

Question #5: Do you participate in erotic role playing or other adult content?

As a general statement, all content posted here and on my social media under the username @familiarviera is considered safe for work and appropriate for all ages. I also try my best to remain proper and safe for work during public interactions. However, I will admit that behind private closed doors, in specific adult venues, or under a specific alias, I do participate in adult content creation. Please understand that I'm very strict about keeping my spicy side discreet and entirely separate from my main account. Unwarranted and inappropriate public interactions or cross-posting will get you blocked and banned.
